Is Corey Perry A Racist?

Online rumors have emerged amid the controversy surrounding Corey Perry’s arrest, pointing to a possible connection between the incident and racism accusations.

The rumors trace back to a 2019 incident in which Perry, an NHL player at the time, was suspended for five games for elbowing Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis in the head during the Winter Classic.

Ellis, a mixed-race man with a black father and a white mother, became the focus of accusations that Perry singled him out because of his skin color, calling him a racist.
