The ambitions of a former Member of Parliament for Okaikoi North Fuseini Issah to return to parliament has been crushed by a “rolling rock”.

This is after Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah -Adjei left her seat at the mountain to win the Okaikwei North parliamentary primary with 341 votes.

Dokua was pushed out of her home Constituency by Director General of National Lotteries Authority Sammi Awuku who was acclaimed over the weekend.

Fuseini Issah who has been accused by party delegates in the Constituency of not being helpful to them during his time as MP was beaten to third place by Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei.

About 850 delegates voted in the Okaikwei North constituency. 

Six aspirants were in the race within the constituency, hoping to be the next parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP including Fuseini Issah who was disgraced by the delegates.

Others included Kenneth Kwabena Agyei Kuranchie who polled 27 and Prince Owusu Mensah who had six votes.

Coming second to Dokua was Akoto Alberta Afia Asomaniwa who polled 228, and Nyarko Stephen Adipa who garnered 108 votes. 

Fuseini Issah, the former MP for the area polled 114 placing a far third.
