An administrator at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in the Ashanti Region, Archibald Ntiri Acquah Gyasi, has described U TV’s United Showbiz show as cosmetic and now politically inclined.

Speaking on Ultimate FM’s Cup of Tea Show on development at the UTV studios that saw some NPP youth invade the station seeking representation on the show and insisting the entertainment show is now political, Mr. Gyasi agreed with the request of the youth but did not support their approach.

He however insisted that the once vibrant entertainment show has now turned into a political show doing the clear bidding of the opposition NDC, a posture that was captured in an official letter of the NPP to the management of UTV and the Despite Group.

“The entertainment show is now a political show. It’s now a cosmetic political show, they say it’s for entertainment, but the host and guest do otherwise. Just watch them now and you will understand me. It’s now politics and nothing else”

“I support the request of the young men. If it’s now a political show, be fair and balance it out just as it’s done in other places. I am here as an NPP speaking for the party and Joe is here as an NDC person that is the way to go” he added

While supporting the request of the NPP young men, Mr. Gyasi condemned the manner of their request and the turn of events.

“I understand the frustration of the young men when their party’s letter to UTV is torn into pieces by A Plus, a guest on the show. I am wondering how the letter got to him for him to destroy it”

“I don’t subscribe to the way they invaded the station; the party has condemned it. How they went about it is wrong, but I hope the police will give them a fair hearing too”, he stressed.
