The University Teachers Association (UTAG) has called on the government of Ghana to focus on providing seed funding for newly established universities rather than establishing new ones.
UTAG is of the belief that expanding infrastructure on the campuses of these newly established universities will go a long way toward helping make teaching and learning easy and better.
According to UTAG, newly established universities are struggling, and therefore the government’s priority should shift from just establishing universities to allocating resources to make the existing ones more conducive and fit for purpose.
