Member of Parliament For North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has alleged that the Commissioner-General for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Adu Owusu-Amoah has eloped from Ghana after SML scandal was made public.
According to him, the GRA Boss left the country together with his nuclear family days after the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, called for an audit into the contract between SML and the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Okudzeto Ablakwa alleges that the GRA Boss left the shores of the country with an ordinary passport and not his service passport; an indication that he is not on an official trip.
To him, this is an indication that the call for an investigation into the contract is a scam because the GRA boss has told some persons close to him that he will not be returning to Ghana because the government intends to make him a scapegoat after the airing of the scandal.
