Some constituents in the Ablekuma West Constituency say they are rallying behind Ursula Owusu Efuful to be maintained as their Member of Parliament.
They argue that with her wealth of experience, it will be imperative that she be given the nod another time to lead the political party in the constituency.
“Ursula Owusu is the best to do the job. I believe that she has earned her place here and should be allowed to continue what she has been doing. We must maintain her to bring about the needed development,” Akosua Fodwo, who is a beautician in Dansoman, said.
In a series of interviews conducted in the constituency, some other constituents were of the view that changing their Member of Parliament would go against the constituency, as a new Parliamentary candidate would now have to learn the rudiments of the job.
They used the opportunity to call on the delegates to vote massively for Ursula Owusu, who they believe has been true to her words and has contributed immensely to the development of the constituency.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is going to the polls on January 27, 2024. The political party is going to elect people who will represent them as parliamentary candidates in the 2024 elections.
The political party is hopeful that they will make history by breaking the eight.
