The Deputy Chief Executive of the Ghana National Youth Authority, Akosua Manu (Kozie)  has been elected as a Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Adentan constituency.

Kozie as she is popularly called won the elections with 814 against her closest contender Kwasi Obeg Fosu who polled 638.

Kozie’s victory  is being celebrated by a number of party faithfuls.

Delegates of the NPP are voting today in the orphan constituencies to elect their parliamentary candidates.

The election forms part of the party‘s preparation ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Orphan constituencies are areas where the NPP has no sitting MPs. In other words, constituencies whose MPs are from the National Democratic Congress or independent candidates.
