Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse has been discharged from the hospital after recovering from an unnamed sickness.
Cisse was taken to hospital on Friday night after suffering stomach pain.
Although a series of tests were conducted to properly diagnose him, there has been no official confirmation of the kind sickness.
Refreshingly, however, Cisse was discharged from hospital on Saturday afternoon after responding to treatment.
A statement from the Senegal Football Federation said the former Senegal captain “is now back with the group” and the test results from the hospital are “reassuring.”
Cisse led Senegal to a 3-1 win over Cameroun on Friday, sealing qualification for the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Senegal are favorites to retain the title they won in Cameroun two years ago and have won their opening two matches of the tournament.
