Africa’s best performing men and women will be rewarded at a glamorous end of year awards in Marrakech, Morocco.
The 2023 CAF Awards will take place in the cultural and commercially vibrant Moroccan city on Monday night.
Here us all you need to know about tonight’s awards.
Hosts
Tonight’s ceremony will be hosted by Moroccan media stalwart Ouadih Dada and international host Sophy Aiida from Cameroon.
Dada is the Chief Editor at 2M – the main television channel in Morocco and author of Dans l’oeil du lion (In the eyes of the lion).
Aida returns to the CAF stage a year after hosting the prestigious awards.
Votes
The winner of each category is decided by votes from a panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.
The Awards Gala will take place on Monday, 11 December 2023, at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco at 19H00 local time (18H00 GMT).
How to Watch
The CAF Awards 2023 will be broadcast live across the world with the national broadcasters in Algeria (EPTv), Côte d’Ivoire (RTI), Ghana (GBC), Morocco (Arryadia), Rwanda (RBA), South Africa (SABC) and Uganda (UBC) as well as OnTime Sport in Egypt.
New World TV will have the Free to Air and Pay TV rights in Togo as well as BeIN Sport that will be the go-to channel in Asia, Europe, Middle East and North Africa as well as in the USA.
Canal+ has the rights for the CAF Awards 2023 in France and Francophone Africa.
