Arsenal suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Fulham in their final Premier League match of 2023.
The Gunners, who needed to win to go top of the league, had the perfect start when Bukayo Saka opened the scoring after just five minutes.
Fulham immediately responded with waves of attack but Arsenal’s miserly defense proved supreme.
Twenty four minutes later, Fulham’s incessant pressure paid off as Raul Jimenez restored parity.
Arsenal could have fallen further behind but were saved by the cross bar when Andreas Pereiera’s free kick came off it with just four minutes remaining.
