Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Suhum Constituency, Frederick Opare-Ansah has said among the six Vice Presidents the country has had in the Fourth Republic, it is only Dr Mahamadu Bawumia who has been able to make a significant role in his administration.
According to him, Bawumia serving under the Akufo-Addo government is now known for championing greater initiatives, unlike the previous Vice Presidents the country has had.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Mr Frederick Opare-Ansah said “The little power Dr Bawumia was given, he has done so much with it. In all the instances of the past Vice President the country had had, it looks like at a point they all preferred to quit because they were not happy.”
“Among all the Vice President the country has had in the fourth republic, Bawumia is the only one who is able to stand on his ground; most of them at a point even wanted to resign”, he said.
“It is the same Office Bawumia is occupying but look at the way he has distinguished himself”, Mr Frederick Opare-Ansah said.
