Twenty-four players participated in the opening day one of the Black Stars training camp in Kumasi.
The Black Stars have been in Kumasi since Monday, January 2, 2024, ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

Ghana held their first training session at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Tuesday.
A statement from the Ghana Football Association said: ”after a thorough inspection of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese, the technical team led by Chris Hughton decided to move the first-day training to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex due to the unfavorable state of the pitch at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.”

The 24 players who trained on Tuesday included, Joseph Wollacott, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alidu Seidu, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Hamid, Nicholas Opoku, and Daniel Amartey.
The rest are Salisu Mohammed, Alexander Djiku, Baba Iddrisu, Elisha Owusu, Abdul Samed Salis, Richmond Lamptey, Majeed Ashimeru, Andre Ayew, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, Osman Bukari, Joseph Painstil, Ernest Nuamah, Antoine Semenyo and Jonathan Sowah.
Ghana will play one international friendly against Namibia on Monday, January 8, 2024.
