Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo is optimistic of retaining her seat.
She says the delegates in the constituency have realized that she accepted her faults and have forgiven her completely.
To her, the delegates said it takes a very strong-willed individual to apologize for wrongdoing and since she has done that, she will be given the nod to go for another term.
“It takes a woman of courage; it takes a courageous politician to accept that I’ve done something wrong; forgive me, and that is what has touched the people of Dome Kwabenya. I know they will still vote me into power,” she said.
Adwoa Safo has the herculean task of maintaining her seat after her absence from the constituency for over a year.
The former minister, who has since apologized, will have to convince her constituents not to repeat what she did, which had a great effect on governance.
