Black Queens forward Evelyn Badu has been nominated for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.

This year’s nomination is the second in Badu’s career after claiming a double in 2022.

Then a 19-year-old at Hasaacas Ladies, Evelyn Badu won the CAF Young Player of the Year and Inter-Club Player of the Year awards at the 2022 CAF Awards held in Morocco.

A statement from CAF said: “Ten nominees each have been penciled for the Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year and Young Player of the Year, limited to players not more than 21 years.”

“The finalists of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League Cote d’Ivoire 2023 have each been rewarded with a place in the Club of the Year category.”
