The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has encouraged people in various Zongos to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
He says this will be the first time a Zongo lady will become the first lady of Ghana, an achievement that has never happened in Ghana’s history.
The President believes that this will present a great opportunity for the people in various Zongos in Ghana.
“If, by the Grace of God, Mahamudu Bawumia wins the Presidency in December 2024, we will have a Zongo First Lady in Ghana. So there is a lot of opportunity for you,” he told residents of Nima in Accra.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will faceoff with former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama in December 2024.
He is hoping to make history by being the first to break the eight-year cycle for political parties in Ghana’s political history.
