Fix Afeanya and Dowenya Roads or Face Consequences

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prapram, Sam George, has served notice that he will block the president’s convoy the next time he is going to the Volta Region or Akosombo.
According to him, the roads used by the people of Afienya have been in a deplorable state for years and although there has been a contractor on the road for seven years, nothing seems to be done about it.
A worried Sam George, flanked by some constituents, said all efforts to get the roads fixed have proven futile over the years.
“In Akufo-Addo’s hometown, even in the cemetery, they’ve done asphalt. Look at the roads; this is the road to his wife’s father’s house. His in-laws: These are the roads we have. Akufo-Addo’s bed, even Cecilia Dapaah’s bed with one million dollars, can fit into it.
A contractor has been on this road, simem Ghana for seven years and counting. I was told that the culvert they put on said they were coming to remove them. I am here waiting for them; they should come and remove it. What is the meaning of this? This is Ghana, the people of Ningo Pramparam and the people of Afienya also deserve good roads. What is the meaning of this? Maybe I need to organize my people and let me serve notice that, Mr. President, the next time you’re going to Akosombo, I will block you in Afeanya, or the next time you’re going to the Volta Region, I will block you in Dowenya and make you walk on this road to see. We also pay taxes, so what is it? We have begged for seven years: What crime have we committed?
