The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM), Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam has vowed to give the Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations and Member of Parliament (MP)for the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, Lawyer Bright Wireko-Brobby a showdown in the January 27, 2024 parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He has promised to retire the incumbent lawmaker not only from his seat but from politics with a shocking defeat.
Mr. Agyinsam who is vying for NPP parliamentary candidate for the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency of the Central Region, insists the incumbent MP has had enough after serving two terms
According to the aspirant, Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency NPP grassroots are crying for change, describing himself as the preferred choice among the grassroots.
The aspirant, with the slogan “No Agyinsam, No Vote” organized a massive float to submit his forms at the Hemang-Lower Denkyira Constituency office where he assured the rank and file of unity within the party.
“Something strange will surely happen on 27th January 2024 and I hope Hemang Lower Denkyira NPP will give me the nod to lead the party in the 2024 general elections. Bright Wireko-Brobby has served for eight years, and it is time for the people of Hemang-Lower Denkyira especially NPP to change him for Agyinsam “Mr. Agyinsam was optimistic.
He added “Voting for Bright Wireko-Brobby will send the party into opposition because both floating voters and NPP members will vote against the NPP party due to his incompetence”.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding primaries to elect parliamentary candidates in areas where it has sitting MPs slated for 27th January 2024.
