Ghana will learn of their group opponents for the Africa Cup of Nations after today’s draw in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars are in pot 2 alongside two time winners, three time winners Nigeria, five time winners Cameroun, two time champions D.R Congo, Mali and 2013 finalists Burkina Faso.

Hosts Ivory Coast are joined by defending Champions Senegal, 2004 winners Tunisia, record holders Egypt, and fellow north Africans Algeria and Morocco in pot1.

2012 champions Zambia are in pot 3 together with South Africa, Cape Verde, Guinea, Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea.

In pot 4, Guinea Bissau are joined by Mozambique, Tanzania, Gambia, Angola and Namibia.

Today’s event will be co hosted music icon Akon and 2015 AFCON winner, Yaya Toure.

The draw will be conducted with support from Didier Drogba, John Mikel Obi, and Sadio Mane and Achraf Hakimi.

The tournament will be contested by Cote d’Ivoire (hosts), Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Congo DR, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zambia.
