National Food Suppliers Association members are calling on the government to pay them.

According to suppliers, they have not been paid the money due them since February 2023, and that is affecting their business.

They are pleading with the government to deliver its part of the bargain as they are being swallowed by debt.

Some members who spoke to the press said, “We have not been paid since February. Some suppliers were paid for supplies made in February, but since then, nothing has come. We met with the CEO, who mentioned that the government has released no money.

Usually, what happens is that after 60 days of supply, our money is paid, but that has not been the case. We are being chased by banks and our creditors, so we are pleading with the government to pay us.”

Members of this Association are people who supply food to the various basic schools across the country.
