Executive board chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbui Afede XIV has announced plans to commercialize the clubs training facility at Pobiman.
The partially functional Pobiman Training Complex has four training pitches; two natural grass pitches, one artificial and a semi-artificial pitch. The club has also opened its hostel facility that houses players and technical staff of the club. The club is on the verge of completing its new secretariat at Pobiman.
Speaking at today’s Annual General Meeting, the Executive Board Chairman of the club, Togbui Afede XIV, disclosed the clubs plans to generate revenue from their investments.
”We have made significant investments into Pobiman and we are still investing. The next phase of the project will be to expand it and find creative ways of generating revenue for the club.”
”The Pobiman project will be commercialized to earn the club more revenue, we have being approached by some clubs to use the facilities; we would soon be releasing some to be used by these clubs. We are committed to transforming the image of Hearts of Oak.” Togbui said.
The decision reflects the clubs aim to secure a financially sustainable future, that allows them to fund expenditure such as recruitment, infrastructural development, and ultimately, the pursuit of football excellence.
