Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have rejected the allegations of interference by former coach Martin Koopman.

At a press conference held at the World Trade Center on Monday, board members of the club, Alhaji Braimah Akanbi, Vincent Sowah-Odotei and Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe responded to the accusations by the club’s former coach.

“The Board finds Koopman’s statement very distasteful. The Board has never said to any coach or Koopman that he shouldn’t use the players he mentioned,” Sowah Odotei said I’m defense of the board.

In an interview with local media, the Dutch trainer had accused the club’s Board of asking him not to play Salifu Ibrahim, Seidu Suraj, Denis Korsah and three other players.

Speaking on behalf of the board, Sowah-Odotei said the accusations could not be farther from the truth.

“On Koopman’s player selection allegation, we want to put on record that by the time we played our seventh league match, Koopman had used 28 players except two who were on the injury list.” Sowah-Odotei said.

Hearts parted ways with Martin Koopman after a run of unimpressive performance.

Koopman superintended over three league wins, three defeats and six draws in twelve league matches.

Hearts are yet to appoint Koopman’s replacement since his sacking two weeks ago.
