Accra Hearts of Oak have sacked their head coach Martin Koopman just two months into the season.
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, the 21-time Ghana Premier League champions said: ”The decision is part of measures restructuring the technical department as we continue with the 2023/24 season. ”
Koopman’s dismissal follows a 0-0 draw with Legon Cities on Sunday; the third consecutive draw in the league.
Sunday’s result meant the Phobians had won just one league match in their last six, under Martin Koopman.
In his two months in the league, Martin Koopman managed just two wins, six draws and two defeats in 10 league matches.
