A former Deputy Transport Minister, Madam Joyce Bawa Mogtari has stated that the level of hopelessness under the current administration led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is an all-time high

She intimated that the level of hopelessness in Ghana over the past seven has reached a height never seen in the annals of the democratic dispensation of Gold Coast to Ghana.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM,  the now Special Aide to the Former President John Dramani  Mahama, noted that, her engagement with the teeming youth in the country portrays one worrying situation characterized by the lack of hope premised on deceit, especially with the claim of the introduction of allowances at various training schools in the country.

She reveals that contrary to government lies of supporting youth initiatives; the ground statistics reveal otherwise urging the Akufo-Addo-led administration to take the blame.

“The nurses are still crying, the teachers are still crying today. If you look around, they are still waiting to receive those allowances. Some of them are in arrears, some have not been increased for the last eight years, some have not been paid at all but we are all still in this country”

“If you look at the age category between 18 – 35, this is research most of them are totally unengaged, all monies that are being doled out at NPP primaries speak volumes for itself. These are monies meant for people to select candidates within primaries, where do you think the money is coming from” she quizzed.

Madam Mogtari noted that it was disturbing some youth policies such as NABCO remains in arrears  and youth seeking employment has become a mere rhetoric.

“Why are NABCO recruits still not being paid? When do we have all this monies to throw about? When the YEA tried to open a job centre, we found the same year group falling over themselves for non-existent jobs, you have young people today chasing employment portals and yet they are unable to secure the much-needed jobs. Look around the country, there are not many activities happening, there has been so much hopelessness around the past eight years”, she lamented.
