Markwayne Mullin is an American politician who has served as the junior United States senator from Oklahoma since 2023.
A member of the Republican Party, he was elected in a special election in 2022 to serve the remainder of Jim Inhofe’s term.
Mullin was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 26, 1977. He is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in finance.
After college, Mullin worked as a plumber before starting his own plumbing company.
