Joseph Aidoo ruled out with ankle injury

Due to an ankle injury, Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo will miss the international friendly between the Black Stars and the United States of America.

The Celta Vigo defender was substituted after sustaining an ankle injury in the 27th minute of the Black Stars 2-0 loss to Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium on Saturday.

He was subsequently replaced by Alidu Seidu.

According to the Ghana Football Association, further tests conducted by team doctors have confirmed Aidoo suffered a tendons injury in his ankle and would require immediate treatment.

The player is expected to fly back to his base in Spain to be assessed by club doctors before determining the next course of action.

Ghana will play the United States of America in Nashville, Tennessee.
