Former Asante Kotoko Cheif Executive, Nana Yaw Amponsah has endorsed ‘Otan’, the latest hit song by Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.

Released just a week ago, the song has won the admiration of many Ghanaians including high profile personalities.

Former GFA Presidential aspirant Nana Yaw Amponsah’s endorsement has however raised a few eye brows.

Without saying so much, NYA described the song as the greatest Ghanaian song since Osibisa’s Woyaya in a post on X.

For music lovers, the tweet is no more than an admiration of Sarkodie’s musical genius.

However, considering his acrimonious exit from Asante Kotoko, many have interpreted the post on X to be a dig at his adversaries.

Nana Yaw Amponsah is reported to have fallen out with the Emmanuel Dasoberi, Kotoko’s current Administrative Manager.

Dasoberi’s decision to accept a role on the new Kotoko management team has reportedly not gone down well with the former CEO who sees it as an act of betrayal.

The pair endured a fractious relationship in the final year of NYA’s reign as Chief Executive mainly due to differences over management decisions.

What broke the relationship beyond repair, is an alleged recording of a conversation in which Dasoberi is heard making comments that undermined the position of the CEO.

It is however unclear if the latest post on X is in any way connected to his relationship with Dasoberi.
