Adan Canto was a Mexican-American actor who touched the hearts of audiences worldwide with his charismatic presence and versatile talent.

His portrayal of Sunspot, a powerful mutant in the 2014 blockbuster “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” further solidified his position as a rising star.

Throughout his career, Canto demonstrated his versatility, starring in diverse roles that showcased his range and depth as an actor. 

He portrayed the enigmatic AJ Menendez in the ABC prime-time series “Blood & Oil” and brought to life the charismatic politician Rodrigo Lara Bonilla in the Netflix drama “Narcos.”

Canto’s most notable performance was arguably as Aaron Shore, the resolute White House Chief of Staff in the political drama series “Designated Survivor.” His portrayal of Shore, a man of principle and unwavering loyalty, resonated with audiences, making him a fan favorite.

Beyond his acting achievements, Canto was a gifted musician and filmmaker. He wrote and directed the short film “Before Tomorrow” in 2014, and his short film “The Shot” garnered accolades for its compelling narrative.
