 Some National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters are calling on the First  National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Awudu Azorka, and the Northern Regional Treasurer, Shamima Yakubu to go to their regions and leave the Northern Region alone.

According to them, the troubles in the NDC in the Northern Region are caused by the two aliens who they claim are not natives of the region.

“Azorka and Shamima should go to their hometowns and leave our region for us”. They demanded.

The Tamale Central Branch Chairman, Mashud Issahak while speaking in a viral video to journalists at the NDC Northern Regional Office, anything bad that happens in the NDC party in Tamale, Azorka and Shamima are always fingered as masterminds.

He accused the Northern Regional Treasurer, Shamima Yakubu of leaking meeting information to the NPP.

“We heard rumors and I have witnessed it before that Shamima records our meetings and send them to NPP people so we won’t accept such behaviour today or tomorrow again”. He claimed

The Tamale Central Branch Chairman threatened that if the national executives fail to address the current confusion in the Northern region, they should not dare come to the region for any party activity.

MyNewsGh .com has gathered that the First National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Awudu Azorka comes from the Savannah region while the Northern Regional Treasurer, Shamima Yakubu comes from the Upper West region.

There is tension currently in the NDC in the Northern region following the suspension of the Northern Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Hamid Gbewa.

His suspension is as a result of the alleged assault of the Northern Regional Treasurer of the NDC, Shamima Yakubu.

The NDC supporters believe that the continuous confusion in the region is as a result of the presence of the First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Awudu Azorka, and the Northern Regional Treasurer, Shamima Yakubu and called on the party to call them to order.
