Hearts of Oak’s 2-3 loss to Asante Kotoko has uncovered a can of worms on many topics.
The club’s failure to appoint a substantive head coach a month after sacking Martin Koopman, has not gone unnoticed.
The assistant referee’s decision to not to flag two clear offsides in the build up to Kotoko’s second goal has perhaps been the most talked about.
But perhaps the most fascinating came from a video of goalkeeper Richard Attah.
The former Hearts first choice goalkeeper looked considerably overweight with a protruding potbelly.

The image starkly contradicts the fit and lean figure Richard Attah had just two years ago.
It is hard to reconcile him with the goalkeeper who got called up into the Black Stars after leading Hearts of Oak to the domestic treble in 2021.
The Richard Attah guy his stomach that or he’s on retirement https://t.co/MdYkKOMqVw

For some, a professional goalkeeper should not look this overweight.

For others, being this overweight should attract sanctions.
Seriously how is Richard Attah a professional footballer?
Don’t they have any sanctions for being over weight at @AccraHeartsOak ?— Raphael Asare-Mensah (@asare_mensah) December 11, 2023
Look at Richard Atta’s stomach. Jesus Christ !!! https://t.co/5eMIbfdVSz
