Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has won the January 27, 2024, elections.
He polled 194 of the total votes cast on the day.
His closest contender, Kwasi Kwaning Bosompem, polled 94 of the total votes, while Jerome polled 10 votes.
This was one of the most talked-about elections, considering the position of the Controller and Accountant General and whether he was qualified to contest an election.
However, Kennedy Osei Nyarko in all his interviews had indicated that he would win comfortably.
