Majority leader not engaged in tribal politics – Former NPP Youth Organiser

Former Suame Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Former Aid to Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Richard Agyemang has suggested the legislator is never involved in tribal politics in support of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s bid to become presidential candidate for the party 2024 General Elections.
In an exclusive interview with Julius Caesar Anadem, on the Ultimate FM Cup of Tea, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr. Agyemang noted that the Majority Leader understands the negative effects of tribal politics and will not at any point indulge in such acts.
“Those accusing Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu of doing tribal politics must come again. How do you expect a respected man of his calibre to engage in that, all in the name of politics? I was at that particular event where he is being accused of and nothing of the sort occurred there”
“My Boss was explaining the situation and role, northerners have played in the body politics in the party and in the country and how at one point in time the revered and respected Dombo allowed Busia to lead even though the Northern faction had more numbers”
Mr. Agyemang however noted that, since the Majority Leader declared his support for Dr. Bawumia, there have been unwarranted attacks and vilification down his direction which are not justifiable.
