Member of Parliament’s Select Committee on Sports loses NPP Primaries

A Member of Parliament’s Select Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture, Eugene Boakye Antwi has lost in the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party.
Eugene Boakye Antwi, who is the incumbent MP for the Subin Constituency polled 103 votes in today’s elections.
He was beaten to the slot by the Chief Executive Officer of the Exim Bank, Kofi Obiri Yeboah.
The Exim Bank boss has 734 votes to become the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Constituency.
Boakye Antwi famously pushed for the sacking of finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta, in a move that many thought to be dangerous for his political ambitions.
