A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah has cast doubt over officials of the electoral commission.
He says officials of the commission cannot be trusted with the BVD machines during the 2024 elections.
Omane Boamah is of the view that most staff of the Electoral Commission are members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and will do everything in their power to ensure that the governing political party wins.
He shared a video alleging that the municipal electoral commissioner for Nandom has made his affiliation with the NPP known and therefore cannot be trusted.
His video is in support of the position of the National Democratic Congress’ calls for the Electoral Commission to abort its decision not to use the indelible ink in the 2024 elections.
“This Municipal Director of the EC declared his NPP affiliation. How do you trust him to activate the BVD machines to prevent multiple voting even within his catchment area if voters decide to vote from one polling station to another polling station?”
