The government of Senegal, through its Ministry of Sports, has increased the reward package for the Teranga Lions by one hundred percent.
Reports in Senegal indicate that each of the twenty-seven players selected by coach Aliou Cisse, will be entitled to an appearance fee of 8 million CFA Francs.
The amount represents a 100% increment in monies paid to the AFCON winning team in 2021 in Cameroun.
Beyond the financial package, the Senegalese Federation will, for the for the first time in the country’s history, allow each player to have an individual room.
Subsequent to this, the Federation has secured 60 rooms at the President Hotel in Yamoussoukro, where the reigning African champions will be based.
Meanwhile, local reports also indicate that the Senegalese government will cover the travel costs for 350 supporters to Ivory Coast.
