The Black Stars will hold their first training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this afternoon ahead of the two FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.

Per the initial plan, the team was scheduled to train in Accra on Tuesday and Wednesday, before flying to Kumasi on Thursday.

However, a change in plan saw the team fly to Kumasi on Tuesday morning.Just like today’s session, Wednesday’s training session at the Baba Yara Stadium will be held behind closed doors.

The Stars flew to Kumasi from the Kotoka International Airport this morning

On Monday the majority of the Stars arrived at the Alisa Hotel as they began the three-day camping in Accra.

Captain Andre Ayew, who missed the October friendlies with the USA and Mexico, has returned to the squad and is already in camp. Midfielder Ashimeru Majeed who missed the last two call-ups through injury has also joined his teammates in camp and will be part of today’s training session.

Ghana will square off with Madagascar in the first game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, November 17 before traveling to Moroni for the second game against Comoros on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
