Ghana’s Black Queens will face Namibia in the second leg of the African Cup of Nations final round qualifier on Tuesday.
The Queens go into the match with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg, following last Saturday’s win at Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, coach Nora Häuptle first spoke about the playing conditions.
”We trained today in the stadium here with an amazing pitch. We are a team who likes to play and the ball is rolling fast here, and so for us everything is ready and we are ready. This is our attitude and also to develop ourselves to our routines that helps us to stay calm and the final training was absolutely amazing,” she said.
The Queens were in a jubilant mood after the first leg win
The first leg win was the tenth consecutive win for Nora Hauptle’s Queens who have npw conceded just one goal in that period.
When asked about her unbeaten run, Hauptle said: ”Still unbeaten as we have won all ten games and this makes us proud. We have developed our performance and our style of play and also the kind of values we live in our team. We have a very good cohesion and very clear basis on which we act on. After the game I never think about anything else. I take this as the next game, we prepare like always so we are quite calm, relax towards the game.”
The game between Namibia and Ghana is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
