Tema-based rapper, Darlington Agyekum known in the showbiz space as Dr Cryme has said songs are well understood when sung in English.
According to the ‘Kill Me Shy’ hitmaker, musicians must find a way to fuse English in their songs to get them closer to the global market.
Speaking on Property FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he said “English is a global language in the sense that even between two countries when we speak it; it helps us to understand each other better”
“When you understand a song it’s easier to sing along because there are a lot of songs that we enjoy but we find it difficult to sing it”
“So when you are composing a song as a musician you can fuse some English words or statements in there to get your songs closer to the global market,” Dr Cryme told Amansan Krakye in an interview.
“But if you’ll be comfortable singing in your local language you can do that as well because if it’s God’s wish that you’ll win the Grammys is not about English”. He added.
