Member of Parliament for Bantama in the Ashanti Region, Asenso Boakye, has explained the reason behind going for morning devotion before casting his vote.
He says that, as a staunch Christian as he is, it has been his ritual anytime he is going to a contest.
So today wasn’t different, as he needed to seek the face of the Lord before going to the polls.
Asenso Boakye, who was speaking to the media, said other people joined him when they realized he was going for the morning devotion.
Asenso Boakye is hoping to maintain his seat as the Member of Parliament for Bantama, even though he is being fiercely contested by Ralph Agyapong, who is the brother of Kennedy Agyapong.
Camping Delegates
Asenso Boakye denied claims that he camped delegates throughout the night in order to secure their votes.
He said they are his grandfathers and fathers and will therefore not make sense for him to camp them.
