Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori has blamed his teammates for Cape Verde’s first goal in the Black Stars 2-1 loss on Sunday night.
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper has been criticised for his role in Cape Verde’s first goal, as he he parried a shot into the path of Monteiro.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Ofori said his teammates should have done better.

Ofori was just as critical of the team in his assessment of Cape Verde’s second goal.
“The truth of the matter is, we can’t concede in such a time,” the goalkeeper said at the end of the game.
“We have to be compact. We have players that play highest level football…but sometimes players can’t defend some certain balls and you end up losing the game.”
Ghana face Egypt next on Thursday, in a match win Group B encounter.
The Black Stars are bottom of the group with zero points and goal deficit of one.
