The television commentators for Nigeria’s match against Côte d’Ivoire at the Africa Cup of Nations last night got too creative, using some unusual words to describe the match.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria beat the Elephants of La Côte d’Ivoire 1-0, through Troost Ekong’s penalty.
What has since caught the world’s attention, have been the colourful dictionary of former Nigerian international Daniel Amokachi.
In a very unorthodox manner, Amokachi said Alex Iwobi ought to have played a more advanced role on order to play “sexy penetrative passes”.

The comments caught viewers snd social media by surprise.
Being a good player does not mean you will be a good commentator
Amokachi is an example of that— Atinuke Esan (@SucreMamito124) January 18, 2024
To some, Amokachi’s commentary was so bad that they do not want to see him on duty again.
Amokachi should never be found in that commentary box ever again.

Meanwhile, others saw the fun side of things.
