Executive Chef, Failatu Abdul-Razak, a chef based in Tamale in the Northern region who embarked on the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, has described military personnel, especially the men as lovely people.
She said her husband has been the loveliest person who has continuously stood by her throughout her difficult moments.
“ Believe me Military men and women are lovely people, look at how these military people have been lovely with us throughout this journey and so I want to thank my husband and all the military people and other security services for their support”.
Her statement follows perceptions that military personnel are violent and intimidating people and therefore debunked that claim and urged the public to see the military as loving people.
Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak set a new record with 227 hours of cooking for 10 continuous days.
Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak broke the yet-to-be-confirmed Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon with a cooking time of 144 hours and 20 minutes.
Hundreds of residents from Tamale and its environs trooped to the Modern City Hotel in Tamale to witness the record-breaking by Chef Faila.
The cooking marathon was graced by high-powered delegations from the Overlord of Dagbon Ndan Ya Naa, politicians, Army Chiefs, and Celebrities among others.
