Pollster and Veteran Ghanaian Journalist has blamed the woes of embattled Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo following her defeat to Mike Oquaye Jnr at the just-ended New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary Primaries, on her dereliction of parliamentary duties with flimsy excuses.

He disclosed that the excuse by the lawmaker her son was unwell for which reason she was not in parliament while she was on the social media platform TikTok as though was teasing her critics played a part in her defeat.

‘Dome-Kwabenya I knew Adwoa Safo was going to lose because in 2020 she won by less than 10 votes. If you say your son is sick so you can’t come and do your parliamentary duties do you need to do a TikTok to please people? I thought she was going to lose by 200 or 300 but 700 is a lot. Mike Oquaye said he was going to win but not by such a margin. If you take delegates for granted they will keep their intentions and at the right time will dispose you off”, he disclosed on Kumasi-based Hello Fm.

It would be recalled that the former Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister on her TikTok account with username (@sarahadwoasafo) received a backlash amidst her absence from Parliament.

Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central subsequently launched a scathing attack on Hon. Adwoa Safo with the assertion that she is holding the government to ransom in her quest to be given the Deputy Majority Leadership position.

“She is saying she wants to be a Deputy Majority Leader. That woman has failed in life. A whole cabinet Minister now demanding that she should be made a Deputy Majority Leader before she comes to parliament.  You don’t come to parliament and you are on TikTok dancing…Dome-Kwabenya is not for Apostle Kwadwo Safo.” He lashed out.
