Frankie Farian und Die Schatten, his own rock band, launched Farian’s career in the early 1960s.

Despite his early lack of success, he established himself in the songwriting and production industries.

When he founded Boney M. in 1974, a multiracial group well-known for their catchy dance compositions and reggae-infused sound, he got his big break.
