On Friday, January 19, 2024, Sarah Glad, a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away.

A social media message announcing her passing asked followers to offer their condolences and best wishes to her family and loved ones, calling her a unique person.

Born on March 31, 1988, Sarah Lindh Glad attended NC State University and later graduated. She was Ellen Lindh’s, her father’s cherished daughter.

Sarah began working as a program officer at the Pope Foundation in June 2021.

In this role, she was involved in a number of the foundation’s giving initiatives, including public interest law and legal research, higher education, and human services.

Sarah worked in policy and public relations for State Senator Chuck Edwards, Treasurer Dale Folwell, and North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory before joining the Foundation.

She served as the director of communications for North State Journal, the first and only newspaper in the state, and contributed to its founding. She also held the position of 2020–2021 E.A. Morris Fellow at the John Locke Foundation.

From her hometown of High Point, Sarah graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from NC State University and a master’s degree in liberal studies.

Her husband, Robbie, and their son lived with her in Raleigh.
