The Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons in connection with a disturbance at Ofaakor Electoral Commission.

According to the Police, the disturbance that ensued at the Electoral Commission was a result of queuing before the commencement of the day’s activities at the EC office.

The disturbance is said to have left one person injured.

A statement from the Police said the arrest was effected on Sunday 2nd June 2024 at about 5 am.

The two are currently assisting the Police with their investigation.

The Electoral Commission Is replacing ID cards for people who have misplaced their voter ID cards.

The exercise which started on May 30, 2024, will end on June 14, 2024.
