Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has told the Ghanaian electorate that John Dramani Mahama is not ready to be president.
The former president of Ghana and flagbearer of the NDC says he will need some holidays if he is made president.
He said, “I will plead with the teachers’ union, GNAT, NAGGRAT, UTAG, and TEWU, and all of them. I know all of you are clamoring for an increase in your allowances, and so forth. Let me caution you in 2025, inshallah we will show you the books and the finances of this country and you’ll realize the harm that the NPP administration has done to this economy.

This country is broke, and so we will beg you that when we come into office, give us a bit of a honeymoon. Let’s put things in place so that we can bring the economy back on its feet, and when we’ve done that, we can accede to your demands again. That is why I’m being measured in the promises that I make because we all know the crisis in which this country has been plunged.”
But responding to the NDC flagbearer’s call for a holiday to fix Ghana’s economy before he can address the needs of the people, Richard Ahiagbah indicated that John Dramani Mahama is not ready to become president.
He says the NDC flagbearer is just talking himself to power but has no plan for the people of Ghana.
To Ahiagbah, it is imperative that the people of Ghana vote for a doer and not a talker indicating that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is a doer and will help address the various challenges the country is faced with.
“H.E. Mahama wants a 4-year honeymoon in the unlikely event that he wins the election hmmmm. Would you employ someone who says please give me a job, but you must also allow me a honeymoon period to understand the job? This is what JM is asking. Hmm H.E. Mahama is just not ready. He is only trying to talk his way into power. Please let us not bother with talkers, we need doers. Reject H.E.Mahama Vote for Dr Bawumia coz he is a doer.”
