Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is optimistic of s good result when the Black Stars face Egypt on Thursday.
Ghana need to win against Egypt to boost their chances of progressing from the group after losing 2-1 to Cape Verde in their first match.
Speaking at Wednesday’s press conference, Ayew assured fans of a desirable result.
“Tomorrow is going to be a tough game, and the boys are ready. We put ourselves in a difficult position, and we’ll fight to put in a better performance,” Ayew stated.
“I am sure tomorrow we will all have something to smile about after the game,” he added.
Ghana will face Egypt on Thursday at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny at 20:00 hours GMT.
Ghana will be keeping an eye on Cape Verde and Mozambique, who face each other after avoiding defeat in their opening games.
