New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, COP(Retired) George Alex Mensah has praised incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and the First Deputy Speaker in Parliament Hon Joseph Osei Owusu for endorsing his candidature and also being part of his campaign.
He has observed that the endorsement by Hon Joseph Osei Owusu indicates that he is the best man to replace him in the constituency.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com, COP (Rtd) Alex Mensah showed his appreciation to Hon Joseph Osei Owusu for helping his campaign.
“I thank him for endorsing me. He has been following me in all my campaigns, this means that, he believes in me and knows I can do the job”. He disclosed
He further indicated that the First Deputy Speaker’s endorsement will be very impactful in the upcoming election because he still has a good image in the constituency.
Having served with dedication since 2008, Osei-Owusu recently announced his exit from Parliament making way for another candidate to take over the constituency.
However, Hon Joseph Osei Owusu has endorsed COP George Alex Mensah (Rtd) as his chosen successor.
