Political critic and private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has stated that Kennedy Agyapong, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, has damning secrets the NPP MP for Bantama Francis Asenso-Boakye, which when he( Kennedy Agyapong) reveals will have dire consequences on Mr Asenso-Boakye and the NPP as a whole.
Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to reveal evidence of malfeasance against Mr Asenso-Boakye if NPP delegates of the Bantama Constituency elect him as a parliamentary candidate. Mr Agyapong wants the delegates to rather vote for his brother who is also contesting.
Speaking on TV 3’s current affairs programme, The Key Points, today[ Saturday, January 13, 2024, ], Mr Kpebu, who claimed to have heard some of the evidence himself in private, confirmed that Mr Agyapong indeed has incriminating evidence of wrongdoing against Mr Asenso-Boakye.
“Agyapong knows what he is talking about with the threat that he will reveal more secrets. I have heard some privately… He’s holding secrets on the guy [Asenso-Boakye]. I have seen some privately. Don’t joke; he means it,” Mr Kpebu said.
He added that even though Kennedy Agyapong has made similar threats of exposing the misdeeds of other politicians in the past, state security institutions have failed to investigate him and compel him to reveal the secrets because they fear that such revelations will bring the whole government down.
“So the point is that the reason they won’t invite him is that it will bring down this government,” he argued.
