Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics have “parted ways” with their head coach Annor Walker.

The 62-year-old was sacked after a number of unimpressive performances.

In a statement on Thursday, the Accra based club confirmed the interim appointment of assistant coach Jimmy Cobblah as head coach.

Annor Walker led Olympics to just six wins in 17 league games of the first round. Oly have also been eliminated from this season’s FA Cup under Walker’s supervision.

Walker returned to Oly in July last year, after leaving Premier League side Samartex 1996.

He signed a two-year contract with Olympics but has now been sacked, six months into the contract.

Walker was in charge of the Olympics in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, guiding the club to respectable positions on the league standings.
